Farewell to Our Precious Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend, Ms. Nina “Deloise” Hearne-Hopkins.

Nina “Deloise” Hearne-Hopkins was born February 27, 1957 to the late Charlie Matthews and Laura Hayes. Reared by the late Reverend Kenneth (Lena) Lankford Sr. She received her wings at 11:48 a.m. on June 4, 2018 in Huntsville, Alabama. Deloise was loving, generous, nurturing, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Deloise was multi-talented she knew how to do everything. Her willingness to help others led her to the nursing career as a certified nursing assistant. She was a resource officer, prison guard, she also did private security, etc.

Deloise enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with her countless friends, and traveling. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and always wanted the best for them. Sometimes rearing led to stern disciplinarian actions, but she wanted them to become respective, productive and outgoing adults.
Her life will forever be cherished and remembered by her Son: Thurman Turner, Louisville, KY; Daughters: Venia (Stevie) Baker; Jacqueline (Shawn) Turner, both of Huntsville, Alabama; Grandchildren: Jahmair Houser, DeMornay Jamar, Mirai Turner, Emeri Baker, and Myracle Turner. Sisters: Annie Harris, Loretta Smith, and Sharon Shuman; Brothers: Alexander Smith, James Earl Smith, and William (Barbara) Hayes, adopted brother Reverend Kenneth (Edmonia) Lankford Jr. and the Matthews and Lankford families and a host of family and friends.
