Woodson Booker, Jr.

Woodson Booker, Jr., passed peacefully from this life the morning of January 8, 2023. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Junior, as he was affectionally known, was born to the late Woodson Booker, Sr., and the late Pearl Booker on October 17, 1949.

He was baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church on March 13, 1994, under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Johnny Burrell.

Junior was a hard-working family man. He was kindhearted and was always willing to do for others in need. He enjoyed cooking, fixing cars, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family.

Woodson Booker, Jr., was preceded in death by five brothers and his son, Vincent Thompson. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mattie Booker of Huntsville, Alabama; four children: Vickie A Thompson, Victor L. Thompson, Valencia R. Thompson, and Valerie M. Thompson; adopted daughter: Doris Cole; seven grandchildren: LaToria Corn, Quinelius N. Thompson (Ebony), Demetria (Troy) Thompson- Ward, DaNikkia Walker, DaMarco (Mary), Walker, DaShana (Devin) McClendon, and Dyllan Hayworth all of Huntsville, Alabama; God-granddaughter: Enitan Olukokun of Huntsville, Alabama; Special Family friends: Angela Jones of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Willie Walker of Huntsville, Alabama; a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.

Woodson Booker, Jr., is now at peace resting with God. He is gone, but will never be forgotten.
