Obituary

Ms. Tonya Lesha Minor was born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 26, 1964, she was raised in Detroit, Michigan along with her two sisters and two brothers. She departed this life on Saturday August 30, 2020 in Huntsville, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Minor and her oldest brother, Reggie Minor.

Affectionately called T-Love or “Momma T” by friends and family alike. She loved music, sports, family, and most of all the Lord. She was an active member of Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. Tonya’s go to scripture was Psalms 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

Tonya was loved and cherished by many. To know her was to love her. She was such a loving and godly woman. She knew the Lord and served his people daily. Tonya never met a stranger; she touched the lives of all who met her.

She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her three daughters: Brittany Scruggs, Briunna Minor, Denell Littleton; two sisters, Alisha Rembert, Stephanie Gunn, one brother, Patrick Minor; Nine grandchildren, Jabeon, Keyshawn, Riunna, London, Khamuri, Mayah, Makayla, Kymoni, Jashawn; five nieces and nephews, Christiunna, Coia, Corrien, Christian, Jeremiah along with a host of other relatives and friends.
