Obituary for Richetta Clemons
Ms. Richetta Ward Clemons, who was affectionately known as “Toosie” was born on January 18, 1942, in Brownsboro, Alabama to the late Richard Ward and Laura Lowe. Toosie, a member of Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, lived a life full of love surrounded by family and friends.
She peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by both parents; grandmother: Cora Burks- Jones; grandfather: A.C. Jones; son: Jeffery Ward; two brothers: Tommy Lee Ward and John Willie Ward; a sister: Cora Ward- Stewart; two brothers-in-law: Winston Ashford and Watell Stewart, and a special friend: Gravis Pincheon.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sisters: Emma (Rosevelt) Baker and Laura Ashford; three nieces: Emma (John) Battle, Shannon (Willie) Campbell, and Sheena Kershaw (Riley) Singleton; six nephews: Frank Baker, Deforis Baker, Jerry Wayne Baker, James Lee Baker, Brian (Sandra) Stewart, and Ron (Javonda) Stewart; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
