Life Story for Ms. Valerie Mitchell

Valerie “Val” Lynette Mitchell was born on February 4, 1965 to the late Macky Fay Mitchell and the late Bennie Lee White in Huntsville, AL. She went from labor to reward on June 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Myron A. Mitchell, brother Fredrick V. Mitchell and Grandson Kingstyn S. Taylor.

Valerie better known as “Val” matriculated through Huntsville City Schools. She is a 1983 graduate of Huntsville High School.

Val lived her life to the fullest. She was a hard worker and did not meet a stranger. She loved her family, especially her kids and grandkids. She was always willing to do whatever she could to help out. When you called her she was coming, no matter if she had to walk, catch a ride or ride a bike. All who knew her loved her and will miss her dearly and will hold tightly to the memories that they have.

Left to carry on her legacy are her children and grandchildren Marquaze Oxzaviea Mitchell, Marquita Lashonda Mitchell(Austyn Johnson, Ashtynn Baker) Markena Shaunta Mitchell(Amariona Mitchell, Arielle Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell) and Marketha Sharlenae Mitchell (Za’Khyree Mitchell, Kenzlei Taylor, Kelsei Taylor). Siblings: Travis Mitchell (Ida Jones), Adrian Mitchell, Sherry Erskine (Colon Sr.), Patricia Elliott (Gary), Orlando Langford, Catrail Langford (Vivian) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves a grand pup Marley, whom she loved dearly.
