Life Story for Ms. Crystal Ragland

Crystal Dianelle Ragland, a beautiful sandy hair and blue-eyed baby girl, was lent to the late Rickey L. Battle, Sr., and Vivian Ragland Battle on September 24, 1986. She departed this life on May 30, 2019. Crystal was preceded in death by her sister, Keshia Ragland.

Crystal gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Union Hill P.B. Church. Later she joined Eagles’ Nest Ministries Church under the leadership of Bishop Daniel J. Richardson. Crystal had an extraordinary love for family, especially her nieces and nephews. In her own words, “I just wanna keep them straight.”

Crystal matriculated through Huntsville City School System. After graduating from J.O. Johnson High School, she enlisted in the United States Army. Shortly after enlisting, she was deployed to Iraq and months later hospitalized in Germany due to a battle related injury. In 2012, Crystal was medically discharged from the U. S. Army.
