Life Story for Mrs. Sally Kate Jones

Mrs. Sally Kate Jones was born of her late parents, Sam Moore and Ophelia Pryor Moore, on February 17, 1950.

Sally Kate married her late husband, Columbus Jones, on June 28, 1998, in Huntsville, AL.
Sally Kate attended West Madison High School and went on to receive her certificate as Dietary Manager from the University of Florida. She had a lengthy career of 20-plus years at Madison Manor Nursing Home in the Dietary Department.

She leaves behind her only child, Vernescire (Nese) Moore, whom she loved unconditionally.
Among Sally’s other loved ones are her five grandchildren: Gregory Moore, Nicole Corbett (Bradley), Ashley Turney, Alexandria Turney, and Adam Turney, all of Huntsville, AL; six sisters: Betty J. Baker of Toledo, OH, Shirley Jefferson, Janice Basel, Samella Burton (Wallace), Willie Mae Moore, and Geraldine Moore, all of Huntsville, AL; three brothers: Sam E. Dancy (Amanda) and Ronnie Moore, both of Huntsville, AL, and John H. Fletcher (Lucy) of Georgia; one adopted brother: Jerry Ford (Willie Mae) of Huntsville, AL; several in-laws: Yvette Baker of Denver, CO, CW04 (Ret.) Ernest Jones of Springhill, TN, Ethel Dancy, Ann Jones, Eleanor King (Willie), Earline Jones Collier, Mattie Briggs, and Mary Jones Moore, all of Huntsville, AL; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
