Obituary for Mr. Roy Lee Brown

Roy Lee Brown was born August 30th, 1956 to the late Wilma Brown and Mildred Horton Brown.
On Sunday, May 29th, 2022 Roy Lee departed this life and entered eternal glory.

At the early age of 12 years old he started working for Jackie Yarbrough doing construction and would continue his passion for carpentry for the next 40 plus years until the last several years where he transitioned into the role of a Fabrication Technician.

His love for carpentry was not only reflected in his teachings of his friends and family but also by the homes and businesses he helped create in the community.

As a child he was very passionate about basketball and played it whenever he could whether it was at home or in school.
Roy Lee was always the life of the party and his sister Vickie gave him the title of being the best when it came to doing the "Hambone".

He is preceded in death by three brothers: L.C. Horton, James Horton and Larry Horton

His life will be forever cherished by his three children:
Takisha Jackson-Allen (Pat), Troy Brown (Chelsea), Shawn Brown (Lakeysha); his ten grandchildren: KeAsia Friend, Kaitlyn Scruggs, Tyree Scruggs, Arriunna Allen, Gabrielle Brown, Irayah Chandler, Cameron Brown, Troy Brown II, Chace Brown, India Brown; two sisters: Emma Godfrey, and Vickie L. Brown; six brothers: Carl R. Brown, Charles Brown, Michael Brown, Dennis Brown, Mark A. Brown and Jeffrey Brown, all of Huntsville, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
