J.D. Lightford was born January 27, 1941, to the late Mr. John Lightford and Mrs. Amanda Kelly Lightford. He departed this life July 10, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital. J.D. confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Center Grove Methodist Church. J.D.’s education was in the Madison County School System. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, John Lightford and Amanda Kelly Lightford, and twenty-two siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Muriel King and William Lightford; a sister-in-law, Catherine Lightford of Huntsville, AL; Lillie Lightford of Toney, AL, Annie Lightford of Nashville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
