Obituary for Mr. Bromley Michael Trotman

BROMLEY MICHAEL TROTMAN, SR. (aka "Michael"/"Mike") made his grand entrance on this world stage called LIFE on Tuesday, March 27, 1961, the last of five children and the one and only son born to the Gavin Egerton Trotman and Joyce Elaine Trotman (née Smith), who preceded him in death.

Prior to migrating to the United States, Michael, spent his formative years at the “Teacher-Welcome” Private School, Seventh-day Adventist Primary School and Georgetown Adventist Academy in Georgetown, Guyana. He attended church with his family at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In 1977, upon his arrival in the states, Michael joined Beth-El S.D.A. Church in Jersey City, New Jersey. Michael loved music. He was very talented, lending his rich baritone voice as a member of several choirs at Beth-El as well performing solos.

In 1988, with his siblings, Michael formed The Bethelaires, who traveled all across the country singing praises to the Most High. Michael was a master musician and songwriter and was instrumental in the completion of The Bethelaires CD.

It was at Beth-El that Mike met the love of his life - the "Honey" that sweetened his tea - Wanda Denise Madden. MICHAEL and WANDA were united in holy matrimony on Sunday, September 16, 1984. To this union were born four amazing children, Bromley Michael, II, Sheniqua Denise, Jeron Chahaad and Jaleesa Chatia.

Although Mike experienced health challenges in his life, he never allowed that to put a damper on his disposition. His light, his love and his laughter continued to shine bright like a diamond.

Michael fought a good fight but on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:55 am, he finished his course.

He leaves to celebrate his life, cherish his love and continue his legacy, his beloved wife of 37 1/2 years, Wanda; their 3 children, Sheniqua (Shewain) George of Brooklyn, NY, Jeron (Angelina) Trotman of Atlanta, GA, Jaleesa (Terrow) Davis of Meridienville, AL; 3 grandchildren, Xylani, Terrow, Jr. and Isabella; 4 sisters, 3 sisters-in-love, 19 nieces & nephews, 17 great-nieces & nephews, 2 great-great nieces & nephews, special cousins, "framily" (friends who became family), and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Preceding Mike in death are his son, Bromley, II, parents-in-love, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Madden, brothers-in-law, Rodney and Ronald Madden and Evelock James, and his niece, Menecia Madden.

Michael will be sorely missed but the time he shared with us will always be.
