Obituary for Minister Barbara Cameron

Barbara Cameron was born on January 2, 1958, to the union
of Emma Jean Redman and Jerry Caudle. Barbara attended Butler High
School, and after graduation moved back to Chicago, where she met and
married Clifton Nunnery. To this union, two children were born.
In 1986, Barbara accepted Christ as her personal savior, and from that day
forward spent her life serving him.
In 1989, she returned to Huntsville, where she later met and married
Darryl Cameron. Together they founded Emmanuel Temple AFC. Darryl
preceded her in death in 2001. After the death of her husband, Barbara
became Pastor of Emmanuel Temple and served until 2012.
In 2013, hearing the voice of God, Barbara moved to Georgia, and in June
2015, she became the Pastor of New Life and Faith Saturday Church.
In 2017, Barbara returned to Huntsville to be closer to her grandchildren.
To many, she was Pastor Cameron, the no-nonsense preacher that never
separated life from Christ; it was black and white and no grey areas.
She was mother, sister, a peacemaker, a nurturer, and caregiver to many.
Barbara enjoyed teaching the word of God and was gifted with revelation
knowledge.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Kimberly (Christopher)
Acklin and Kevin (Tiffany) Nunnery; four grandchildren, Jada, Eric,
Christopher Jr. “CJ”, and Skyler; seven siblings, James Washington, Linda
Lewis, Freddie Caudle, Lawyer (Neil) Washington, Donna Washington
Holliday, Veronica Ojo, and Ronnie Smith; mother-in-law, Mrs. Matthews;
and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara had many friends,
but there were a few that were very special to her: Mary Nunnery, Paula
Sanders, Pastor Sylvia Moore, and Paula Cotton.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
II Timothy 4:7
