Obituary for Mary Cooke Hite

In Loving Memory of
Mary Edwina Cooke-Hite
Dec. 12, 1978 – Oct. 24, 2020

Mary Edwina Cooke-Hite, wife of Kerjhe Hite was born December 12, 1978 in Jacksonville, North Carolina to the late Charles Edward Cooke and Wilma Wiley Cooke. In her early years Mary accepted Christ and united with First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dumfries VA. After marriage they joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville Alabama. As the daughter of a military member, she was educated by a number of schools and graduated from the International School of Bangkok in Bangkok, Thailand.
In 2005, Mary married Kerjhe Hite and from that union were born the joys of her life, Judah Alexander(7), and Arieh Charles(4). Mary loved everything that involved her children, family and friends. Using her retail talents and MBA in International Business degree earned at UCLA, she established her own online children’s apparel boutique KHM Collections. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, study GOD’s word and give herself to others. Kindness and generosity are Mary ‘s most admirable traits. She was never into sports until her family and especially her boys were part of it. Then she was the loudest supporter on the sidelines. Her greatest joy came in being a volunteer for Meals on Wheels with her church. This gave her a chance to give back and to teach her boys about the true meaning of service.
Mary left a legacy of love for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband, Kerjhe Hite, Madison, AL; two sons, Judah and Arieh, Madison, AL; a loving mother, Wilma Wiley Cooke, Madison, AL; Grandfather , Willie Frank Wiley Sr. Americus, GA; devoted in-laws, Leon and Bobrie Hite, Harvest, AL; a loving uncle Willie Frank Wiley, Jr, Americus, GA; and many loving aunts, cousins and close family and friends.
