Obituary for Dorothy Louise ""Dot"" King

Mrs. Dorothy Louise King was born on May 7, 1952, to parents Alvin and Frankie Johnson. She left this life to return to the open arms of her creator on September 3, 2020.

Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age and recently attended Douglas Tabernacle under Pastor Mario Ford.

Dorothy was born in Chattanooga, TN, raised in Scottsboro and later moved to Huntsville which she made her home.

Dorothy never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her big smile and sense of humor.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles (Johnson) Griffin, and daughters, Tracey Decarla Pitts and Keisha Tamika Pitts.

She leaves to mourn her loss, yet cherish her memory: her husband, Terry King; daughter, Tori (Joseph) Simmons; three grandchildren, Marquis (Tearria) Edmonson, Amari Collier, and Jasmine Hewlett; three great-grands, Jacari, Armani, and Acelyn Edmonson; sisters, Betty McCarver and Carolyn Cobb; mother-in-law, Stella (Bernard) Hill; brothers-in-law, Anthony King and Lafforrow Hambrick; special friend, Michelle Kadrovach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
