Obituary for Mr. Dwayne "Daddy Wayne" Ross

Dwayne Lydell Ross was born on September 21, 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to William and Bennie N. Ross.

Dwayne joined Siloah Lutheran Church at an early age and gave his life to Christ at 6 years old.

Dwayne received his early education in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduating from Custer High School, and furthered his education in college in Huntsville, Alabama. He attended Global University of Purdue online where he received an associate’s degree and was working on his bachelors. He worked in retail for 30+ years. He enjoyed working with others and took pride in his job.

Dwayne was united in holy matrimony to Nakia Ross on August 10, 1996 at St. Marks AME Church in Milwaukee, WI. The love they shared was one of a kind, unbreakable and priceless.

His memories will be forever cherished by: his loving children, one son, Dontrael (Lisa) Ross of Milwaukee, WI and two daughters, Dejah Ross of Huntsville, AL and MiIsha Johnson of Milwaukee, WI.; two brothers, Darrent (Katrina) Ross and Michael Ross, all of Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren “Grandaddy Wayne Babies”, Lanaya, Cartier, Cameron, Gavin, Zylie Ross, Noah Brown and Antonio Coffin, Jr.; mother-in-law, Diane Perry, late father-in-law, Charlie Perry; Kelvin (Tania) Perry, Jelani (Jasmine) Perry, Don (Madlon) Parker, and Alex (Lynn) Osborne; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other beloved relatives and friends; and his forever family, Romona, Rhonda, Sanetran, and Ernest Johnson.

HOBBIES: Listening to and collecting music, having jam sessions with Dejah, fixing his “old-school”, football (biggest Green Bay Packers fan), spending time with family, doing schoolwork, watching his three favorite shows (Law & Order, Star Trek, and In the Heat of the Night).
